The temperature measurement based on International System is Kelvin. I bet you are very surprised if you don't have a clue about chemistry or physics. Why Kelvin ? Fahrenheit is used in US, we know that in other places they use Celsius, but why Kelvin ? We need standards, it will be much better if we would have got only one temperature scale but we have a lot of them. Why different temperature scales was invented ?
They were invented because in some areas the maths are done easier using one scale or another. For example, the celsius scale is very simple, water freezes at 0 degrees celsius and water boils at 100 degrees celsius, very simple, 2 landmarks for temperature.
How can we work this out ? It is simple, using an online temperature converter: fahrenheit celsius , which can convert celsius, fahrenheit, kelvin and rankin. Very cool, but what happens if i'm not at my computer and want to figure out the temperature in fahrenheit when we have the value in celsius.
That is very simple, the formula is Fahrenheit = Celsius * 9 / 5 + 32 .
