The state of Photovoltaic solar panels

Every now and then people try to think if it's worth investing in a solar powered energy system. There is not better time to do this. The prices of photovoltaic panels dropped to a minimum. I don't think they will get lower than this.

However, installing a home solar panel is not that easy. My best recommentation is to pay an electrician to do it. He will help you to find the best prices for photovoltaic panels, will figure out your needs and will tell you what you need to do to keep it in good standards.

If you are reading this, means that a photovoltaic system is fit for you. To know this you must know if you want to have a system that will generate the whole power you need, or you just want it as an alternative way of producing energy so you can generate some money.

If you are in the first case, you will have to invest much more, because you need so many solar panels to produce energy even on winter when the sun don't appear so often. What you must know is that the photovoltaic cells are producing energy from light that comes from the sun, so even on winter there is enough light so they run at least at 40 of full capacity. You also need a high storage system so you will have an energy deposit for bad times.

If you just want to produce it right away and connect it to the network, then you must go with the amount of panels that will generate the most revenue, depending on how much money you want to invest.

The costs of photovoltaic panels with installing, invertors and everything you need is around 1,50$ for a watt. That means if you invest 15,000$ into this, you will produce 10,000 watts when the sun is at his peak. Considering that there is nigh too, it will produce about 5000 watts on average an hour, which means 120,000 watts during a day during summer. This is the amount that you consume in about a week. A kilowatt costs about 0.12$, that means that on summer you will produce electricity worth 432$ each month. The number can go down to about 300$ if you consider losses and low turnout for the winter months. So, you will make 3600 every year, that will empower you to get your money back in about 4-5 years. Most companies that offer installing services gives you a guarantee of 25 years for the products they install.
